Christine Gladney has been teaching yoga and Pilates for more than ten years in NYC, New Orleans and Memphis. After studying Pilates at the Kelly Kane school in NY, she trained with Ana Forrest and become a Forrest Yoga teacher. Interested in working with people suffering from post traumatic stress, Christine was drawn to Forrestyoga for it's deep healing techniques and focus on core, breath and releasing trauma stored in the muscles and cells in the body. She took these healing techniqus to post-Katrina New Orleans and was an integral part of rebuilding the yoga community.
As an equestrian and horse lover, Christine has recently developed specific exercises combining both yoga and Pilates that are targeted for riders of any style. She knows what muscles most need to be strengthened and stretched, as well as the breathing and centering exercises that are essential for a good, safe ride. Holding two certifications in Equine Therapy, Christine has a deep understanding of the healing power of horses and has studied equine behavior and the horse/human bond. This led to a desire to make the art of riding as symbiotic as possible for both partners.
